Save Up for the Samsung Galaxy Tab By Recycling Your Old…
The first-of-its-kind Samsung Galaxy Tab is expected to sweep the handheld device market with features that haven’t been offered in an all-in-one smartphone or laptop before — including a 7-inch LCD screen, which makes the Galaxy much smaller, lighter and more portable than the iPad and more capable than the iPhone. The new Samsung will also run on Android 2.2 and support Flash 10.1, as well as offer Google Maps Navigation, Thinkfree Office, Swype, Hybrid Widgets and over 70,000 apps. But what’s creating the greatest hubbub is the Samsung Galaxy’s price. Amazon originally had it listed for £799 in the U.K., until recently dropping it to £680 amidst customer outrage. In the U.S., the Samsung Galaxy is priced at $200 to $400 because of the subsidies paid by carrier networks. Even with a £120 price drop, in order to afford the new Samsung mobile phone, British customers would practically have to take out a new line of credit.
